This presentation is designed to give teachers the skills, knowledge, and resources to start their own school-wide or grade level STEAM challenges. We will share our experiences and resources from the four school-wide challenges that we created and implemented for our 6th , 7th, and 8th graders. After a brief overview, participants will experience a challenge first hand. We will focus on key planning elements that will help a school-wide design challenge like these be successful. Participants will learn how to integrate common core ELA and Math standards while engaging in these NGSS Engineering themed challenges.
