Biology concept cartoons have been developed as a formative assessment tool to aid in teaching challenging topics at both the middle and high school level. The cartoons are research-based and extensively classroom-tested. This workshop will introduce attendees to the concept cartoon collection, and then will provide an opportunity to practice ways to use them in class. These cartoons are the products of research conducted by students in the M.S. in General Biology program at Point Loma Nazarene University.
